Coronavirus Advice: It is still unclear as to how we will return to normal operating conditions but insurers will provide guidance on the gradual reopening of businesses and services as more information becomes available and we will continue to update our advice.
We would suggest to all our commercial clients that you ensure you have a good supply of soap, hand sanitisers and paper towels. If you are welcoming customers into your premises then you must ensure social distancing continues. Adding floor markers or any other methods to keep people 2 metres apart are a necessity.
We have received a number of enquiries as to whether our business clients are insured for closure of their business or loss of income owing to coronavirus. The Business Interruption cover does not normally provide cover for this type of loss, so there is no insurance for loss of earnings.
